I am 25-year-old women from California. I am not much of a reviewer but for this particular product, I felt the need to share my views. I hate to admit this in public, but I am ahairy woman. While that would be great if I was a man, but bad news, in this case, is that I am a woman. A woman with hairy arms and legs and fuzzy face too. After many years of waxing bleaching, plucking, creaming and shaving, my poor skin just needs a break. I decided it was finally time to lookinto other alternatives. But a laser hair removal at dermatologist is crazy expensive and also I live very far from the city, even bigger investment of time and gasoline. That’s when the idea of home laser hair removal treatment devices came to my mind. So I decided to investigate.

Laser hair removal treatment at home

First, I have to tell you, they don’t come cheap. Second, every device I studied and read reviews on has one thing: they all involve some level of pain. Different from epilators, which use dozens of tiny tweezers to remove hair from various parts of your body, lasers deliver (sometimes stinging) light pulses to your skin that target dark hairs and stop their follicles from producing new hair. I have sensitive skin, so I used Numbing cream, for those who don’t know about these creams- Numbing cream is a topical anestheticcream that reduces the pain by numbing the nerves. It contains lidocaine which deadens the nerves carrying pain signals to the brain. I applied the generous portion of the cream that was 1mm thick. After that, I covered the area with cling paper. After one hour I wiped it with adamp cloth. Important instruction; don’t apply it for more than one hour. After that, I started the treatment with laser hair removal kit, A concentrated beam of light is aimed at hair. The light is absorbed by the pigment, which damages the follicle enough to retard future growth. Lasers can remove hair for anywhere from several months to years, as the results differ widely from person to person. There are many DIY kits in the market some of are: Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X, LumaRx IPL and Philips Lumea Comfort IPL Hair Removal System.

Permanent hair reduction treatment

Although laser treatment is safe andgood there is also an option for permanent hair removal. In this treatment IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is used which is totally different from lasers treatment that generally works with a single wavelength of light, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) uses many wavelengths of specifically filtered light. However, it is more beneficial for those (like me) who wanted to get rid of unwanted hair permanently. I personally recommend you to go for permanent hair reduction treatment because in it achance of hair regrowth is lesser than laser hair removal.
